Why Rainwater Harvesting…
- India is the highest contributor for extraction of ground water globally, contributing to 29% of the global ground water extraction.
- 54% of India faces VERY HIGH to HIGH water stress and this is getting worse by the year.
- 90% of India’s fresh water is used for agriculture.
Our Approach
We believe in ensuring that the project area should have a two fold vector resultant….
1) The source should be large enough to significantly impact the ground water table and
2) The resultant recharge area/bore well should be able to continue recharging for generations to come.
Impact Assessment
1) Our goal is to monitor pre and post monsoon, the water table in prefixed test borewells.
2) Capture on an annual basis the actual quantity of water channelled into the beneficial aquifers
