Optimal Recharge Location

A study is then conducted to identify the optimal location, recharge rate and combination of the recharge sites, to design a solution which is often done using a numerical groundwater model. 

Evaluation

These models use a set of mathematical equations to estimate the flow of water within a grid (considering the acreage of area that would aid the runoff) , which represents the hydrological system by their characteristics as well as the aquifer’s transmissivity, resistance and the surface drainage network.
